Summer

Summer's tenacity for life brings drive and purpose to our breeding program and this girl excels at everything she does including herding, trick dog, dock diving, barn hunt and the whelping box! Summer came into our program initially as a companion for Kristina’s husband but quickly showed everyone that she loves an audience & lives to perform! Kristina took to the conformation ring for the first time with Summer as a puppy! To this day, one of her favorite things is to be groomed, which we call “get pretty”.
Since Summer loves to perform she quickly took to learning tricks and would show off and do anything Kristina asked of her. Her favorite trick is called “Pantry” and is a difficult multi-step trick - she opens up the pantry door in the kitchen, turns on the pantry light, looks inside the pantry, turns off the pantry light, & closes the pantry door! Kristina and Summer have even developed their own dance routine!
Summer is called the Cannonball. She got this nickname at an early age during competitions at the North America Diving Dogs events. Summer developed a diving form much like a cannonball being fired from the dock by tucking her legs up under her in the air! It is so adorable and always draws attention from the crowd.
She’s just got a zest for life! Yes, she’s sassy! Yes, she’s super smart!
Kristina and Summer have a special relationship. The bond between them is very strong. Kristina says, “we have grown so much together, the sky's the limit”
Summer is a tremendous dam (mother). She is nurturing and sees to every puppy's needs. Summer truly is a Rockstar.
